Mission

The mission of the Wilson Education Partnership is to work with Wilson County Schools, businesses and the community to promote excellence in public education.

Program of Work

Each year the WEP Board of Directors develops a program of work that supports the initiatives of the Wilson County School System. Committees within the Board of Directors cooperate with the executive director, designated school administrators and community leaders to develop action plans and implement programs to fulfill the WEP objectives. Annual programs and initiatives may vary as needs of the school system change.

WEP programs support one or more of the following goals:

• Recognize and support high student academic performance
• Recognize and support quality teachers, administrators and staff
• Provide classroom and instructional support
• Increase public awareness and community involvement in the public schools
• Foster communication and collaboration with the business community
