High School Academic Excellence Celebration

2008 Senior Academic Champions |
WEP hosted the 19th annual High School Academic Excellence Celebration on May 2, honoring 387 “Academic Champions”, including 72 seniors, from Beddingfield, Fike and Hunt high schools. To qualify for this recognition, students must maintain a 4.0 or higher grade point average

 Keynote speaker Ed Gerety, from New Hampshire, used simple, clear and compelling language to share personal stories and practical tips about leadership with the students and parents in attendance. His message about gratitude, attitude, respect and kindness empowered students to set and achieve goals and to believe in themselves. He emphasized the importance of working together, supporting one another and believing in something even at first if you cannot see it. Ed Gerety autographed his books and spoke with students and parents following his presentation.
